A series of canvases, 2025
Canvas, mixed media, 50x60 cm
Fragments of shells and pieces of wood washed up on the shore of the Sea of Okhotsk on Sakhalin Island. Multilayered structures of life, with a layer of paraffin covered all over it — a warm, tactile trace, going into the cold and alienation.
Artifacts leave traces of the presence of absence. The collected remains, thrown ashore by the wave, are collected in a new form already inside another life, which adds its own personal layers-traces and a certain vibration of the imprint of space is formed through the prism of personal focus of attention and state.
